Blind since birth, vocalist and keyboardist extraordinaire Gordon Mote began playing piano at the age of three and toured with his family’s singing group until his undeniable talent made him an award-winning Nashville sessions player (2011 Academy of Country Music Award, 2012 Music Row Award). Concurrently, Gordon spent more than half of the past decade singing and playing for Gaither Homecoming concerts and recordings, winning the hearts of hundreds of thousands of loyal Gospel fans. Mote’s recent debut CD with New Haven Records, “Songs I Grew Up Singing,” is an inspiring musical diary of landmark songs that not only shaped his music and ministry, but also inspired a generation of Gospel music lovers.
