The influences of 60s Folk Music and poetic writings is evident in this compiliation of original material by J Michael Nace. It is a virtual travelogue through time and places, meeting people along the way that you will get to know by listening. Along the way there is a biting commentary (“Jehovah in the Land”) of world events that was written in the 90s and speaks loudly today. Prophetic stuff, insightful and concise. This CD is full of material, intelligence and insight. All of the songs are different, from the haunting “Julie” to “Heavy Duty Lord.” It is clear J Michael Nace came from the street context, as the songs sound it.
