Island Forgotten, Jay-Way’s debut full length album, paints the picture of living on your own island. Living on your own island can bring confidence, individuality, and solitude but it also can bring feelings of abandonment and loneliness. Jay-Way says “This is how I often feel when I’m drowning in my thoughts. When I look at my career I often feel like the outsider. As if I don’t have what it takes to be at the cool table. Feeling like my peers in this industry are leaving me in the dust. People can know my accolades and I’ll still drift far off to think that I’m forgotten. ” Produced by Dayme (Jimilian), BoogzDaBeast (Kanye West, The Weeknd, Chloe) and FNZ (Kendrick Lamar, Future, Jack Harlow, Justin Bieber) and including features from Ty Brasel, Digitzz, Moe The Natural and Parris Chariz, Jay-Way shows how he has evolved stylistically and sonically through the years and melds together the personas and expressions from prior projects.
