Gospel artist Sherwin Gardner began scoring hit singles in Trinidad & Tobago in 1998 and thereafter steadily started attracting international attention. He broke into the gospel reggae market in 2001, when he teamed up with Lion of Zion Entertainment for his “Leaning” debut and became one of the founders of the Caribbean Gospel Reggae movement. Since then, Sherwin has consistently brought out some of the most powerful and diverse music in the Caribbean and has become a mainstay in the industry.

After countless hits and a fistful of albums over the years, Sherwin’s music has become a source of strength to many throughout the world. His last two releases were the energetic “Borderless” that featured the hit single “I Will Survive” and the hard-hitting “Relentless,” that included “Stamp On That”. Both were big successes that spawned a major European tour with Christafari.

Nas·cent [náyss’nt] is a word used to describe something or someone that is just coming into existence. Though Sherwin Gardner is an established Gospel Reggae veteran that’s been singing for decades, on this album we discover that he’s just getting started! With Nascent, the Caribbean native explodes on the scene with an emerging sound that’s a dynamic blend of Pop, Reggae, Dancehall, Hip hop, Gospel and Soca.
